Dr. Jesse Bemley Named Recipient of the Geraldine P. Woods Science Award. Dr. Jesse Bemley is a leader in the Washington DC Area science and engineering community who has used his vast knowledge, skills and personal contacts to improve the lives of youth in Washington DC. As the president and founder of the nonprofit community based K-12 program, Joint Education Facilities, Inc. (JEF) Dr. Bemley has assisted more than 400 students in pursing undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering, math, computer science, and advanced mathematics.
