FISCJ CO Awarded for Career Cchievement. Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA) named Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Jacksonville (FISCJ) Commanding Officer Capt. Joyce Robinson, an Epsilon Award Winner for Individual Career Achievement. The award presentation is scheduled for July 31 in Philadelphia.

Are Foreign IT Workers Disproportionately Racist? An online discussion forum about African Americans in the IT industry caught my (Don Tennant) eye today, and I was intrigued by the comments posted by one Black IT professional in particular. While too many people in minority communities shy away from openly discussing their experiences with racism, this man had the courage to write about his encounters with racism displayed by foreign IT workers.

Cincinnati State, 6/2/2010 (Greg Greenlee, Ronnie Hash, Frank Hill)
Information Technology: A Full Color Career. Frank Hill was born in Crawford, Mississippi, pop. 691, in the middle of the last century. He remembers spending his early years there in a society that was practical, hard-nosed and self-sufficient. Family and friends raised their own crops, built their own homes, slaughtered their own hogs, made their own clothes. The only time they really needed money, he recalls, was the one time during the year when the tax bill came due.
