BDPA Cincinnati Announces New Leadership - Jessica Waddell - BDPA Cincinnati chapter, a nonprofit organization made up of racially diverse information technology professionals, announced a new member of its executive team. Jessica Waddell was named the Vice President of Finance. Jessica is a financial analyst at GE Aviation. She handles financial planning, cash forecasting, billing and project management in her current position. She has been working for almost nine years at GE Aviation, one of the largest corporations in Cincinnati. Jessica was vice president of the National Black MBA Association chapter on the campus of Ohio State University, where she earned her degree in Finance.

Diversity/Careers Magazine, 3/1/2011 (Renetta English)

Renetta English is This Year's BDPA New York Chapter Prez. Members of the BDPA New York chapter have elected Renetta English to serve as 2011-2012 chapter president. English has been a member of BDPA since 2004 and served in several leadership roles. In 2008 she was the New York chapter's HR director. Last year she was the chapter's VP of membership management; chapter membership grew by thirty percent during her tenure.

English clearly believes that BDPA is a premier organization for IT pros. "We must all work together to participate in and promote the goals and mission of BDPA," she notes.

She has strong ideas about the future direction of BDPA New York in areas like membership, youth programs, finances, corporate sponsorships, political relationships, small business ownership, strategic partnerships and community.

Perkins to Lead BDPA. The Black Data Processing Associates Southern Minnesota Chapter has elected Charlie Perkins of Rochester as president. Perkins serves as unit head for media support services at Mayo Clinic. Prior to working at Mayo Clinic, he served as vice president of Harris Bank in Chicago.

BDPA Charlotte Chapter Election Results. I am happy to announce that Markus Beamer, current VP of Strategy & Planning, was elected as the 2010-2011 President-Elect for BDPA Charlotte. Markus has been a dedicated member of the BDPA Charlotte family, most notably as trainer for the High School Computer Competition (HSCC) program. Markus has demonstrated a strong passion of educating the next generation of students and walks the talk of our creed; "Advancing Careers From the Classroom to the Boardroom". Markus is a rising leader in the IT industry who also has a tremendous passion for developing online video/strategy games in his spare time. Markus is a very talented individual and will serve the Charlotte community well.
