President Obama Announces More Key Administration Posts. Today, President Barack Obama announced his intent to appoint the following individuals to key administration posts including: David H. Segura, Appointee for Member, Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations.
David H. Segura is Chief Executive Officer and founder of VisionIT, a global IT solutions firm with headquarters in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Segura is also a founding architect and current Vice Chair of the nation’s first Hispanic senior-level IT executive organization, the Hispanic IT Executive Council, as well as a long-standing member of the Information Technology Senior Management Forum which is focused on advancing African American IT leadership. Most recently he was selected by President Obama as one of the 50 CEOs to participate in the White House Forum on Modernizing U.S. Government.

onth to honor colleagues who have made extraordinary contributions to the advancement of information technology while demonstrating proactive leadership in advancing diversity. This highly-anticipated event was part of the symposium "Globalization from a Business, Economic and Cultural Perspective," a forum designed to equip African American and Hispanic IT executives to compete in today's global marketplace. Events were co-sponsored by the Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) and the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC).

Detroit-based VisionIT CEO Shares Panel with Nation’s Top IT Executives. On Friday, August 4th in Los Angeles, CA, the Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA) will host its annual luncheon as a part of its 2006 National Technology Conference, which features a panel discussion with some of the nation’s top senior-level information technology executives, including VisionIT president/CEO David H. Segura.
