Group Trains Teens in Technology Skills. The Cincinnati chapter of the Black Data Processing Association (BDPA) has in recent years run programs training teens interested in computers or technology. Called the Student Information Technology Education & Scholarship Program, or SITES, the program consists of a computer camp, a youth technology seminar series and the formation of a team for the National Computer Competition.

BDPA Racks Up Sponsorships. The Cincinnati chapter of the Black Data Processing Associates has attracted Cincinnati Bell and The Circuit as corporate sponsors. The Circuit, formerly Greater Cincinnati Software Association, is contributing to BDPA's Student Information Technology Education & Scholarship (SITES) program -- which includes a high school-level computer camp, technology seminars and participation in a national BDPA student competition. The Cincinnati BDPA student team placed second in the national contest last year.
