BDPA Conference will Emphasize Entrepreneurship and Networking. African Americans in IT should strongly consider business ownership, declares Milt Haynes, national president of Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA, www.bdpa.org, Largo, MD). The organization’s 24th annual conference, which runs from August 7 -11 in Orlando, FL, is designed to help them get started. The theme of the conference is “Changing the culture of IT: from access to ownership,” reports R. Wayne Hicks, BDPA president-elect and head of the Cincinnati chapter.
