BDPA reception: Black Data Processing Associates of Rhode Island will hold its 4th annual Education and Scholarship Reception at 7 p.m. on Saturday, at Johnson & Wales Inn, 213 Taunton Ave., Seekonk, Mass. The keynote speaker will be Antonio DaSilva, Bank of America, senior vice president, RI consumer market executive. Tickets are $30 per person, $50 per couple.
